In Te Maunga we are making films. I'm learning how to create a slideshow film. My favourite thing to do is presenting the film and playing with transitions and creating fun and cool props with polyline. We are making the scenes better by making less jumping from place to place. IT'S NOT FINISHED!

WACKY WEDNESDAY
In Te Maunga we had a Wacky Wednesday. I dressed up as a backwards person. One thing I liked doing was walking backwards. We had to go have a class and a school photo.
P A L DAY
In Te Maunga we had a PAL day. We played big ball soccer, rob the nest and other games. One thing I liked doing was big ball soccer. When we were playing, Boston was holding the ball and rolling with it.

Shake out day
In Te Maunga we had a shake out day. We learned how to keep safe when there is an earthquake. When there is an alert you have to hop under a table and hold the legs or try to get as far away as possible. Next time I know to hop under a table or get as far away as possible.
The Olympic Games
In Te Maunga we made a Google Slide presentation of the Olympic Games. We learnt about the Olympic Games and who the first people in the NZ Olympics Games were. My favourite part was making a Google Drawing about Darcy Hadfield and George Davidson. We had to read the text and make a drawing and name it Notable Names.

PAL Day
On the last day of term 3 we got to play and we got to do some activities. We played dodgeball, big ball soccer, duck, duck, goose and more. One thing I liked doing was playing big ball soccer. Everyone had to start at a different activity and whenever a whistle was blown we had to rotate.

Measurement
In Te Maunga we learnt about measurement. I learnt about perimeter and what it is. A perimeter is an outline of a shape. I liked learning what area is. An area is the inside of the shape or object. My favourite part was drawing the shapes. We had to draw shapes and then we had to find out what the perimeter and area was.

Nano girl
In Te Maunga we got to have Nano girl come to our school. We learnt how to hold fire. I enjoyed watching the rings of smoke and toilet paper fly. We had to blow up a rubbish bag and we had to swing water around with a metal plate and chain.
Science
In Te Maunga we learnt about science. I learnt what a hypothesis is. I enjoyed making a volcano. We had a choice to make a volcano, lava lamp, water fireworks or a marshmallow cannon.
Lockdown
During lockdown I played games with dad and mum. I stayed up late with Maia. I watched movies with everyone. I slept in like everyone else too. One thing I liked doing was forgetting to work. I did nothing but staying up late, playing games, watching some movies and sleeping in.

Measurement
In Te Maunga I learnt how to tell the time, measure the UV index weather temperature and how to measure a table with paper. I liked measuring the temperature, UV index and weather. We had to rotate table to table to learn different things.

In Te Maunga we learnt about team building. I learnt how to work together and help people when they are stuck. I liked playing the games and picking people to be in a group. We had to pick people to hop into a group and work together. We had to talk to everyone to make a plan to try and win the games.

In Te Maunga we learnt about Matariki. I liked making kites. We had to make kites, poi, painting rocks and a star poster. I only got to do poi and kites.

At home.
On Friday morning I woke up and I saw Maia and mum lying in bed. After I had breakfast I asked mum what was happening and Maia said we weren't going to school. I asked mum if we were and mum said no we weren't because there was a Tsunami and she was sick. So I went and watched tv all day and it was boring.

We had to go on the human fery all the way to Russell and we walked from Paihia School to Russell School. This week we learnt how to float on our backs. We had to touch the black line on the floor of the pool. We had to find a way to relax and stay on the water. My favorite part about swimming was going for a swim and going out on a boat.

In Te Maunga we learnt pepeha art. We had to draw an Awa and a Maunga in pencil and color it in with pastel. I enjoyed drawing. We had to finish them to show to the whole school for assembly. I found out that trying to find places for our kowhaiwhai patterns was hard.
Food for thought

In Te Maunga we had a lady come in and teach us about food. We learnt about food and drinks. My favourite part was looking at bottles filled with sugar. We had to make the food pyramid.

Last term in Te Maunga we learnt about animals in the sea. I enjoyed researching about some animals. We had to research sea animals and we learnt about dangerous sea creatures.

In Te Maunga we were doing statistics this week. We learned about statistics and we had to ask people what their favourite thing was. I liked making a chart that showed the data I got. I had to go around the class a lot.

In Te Maunga we were researching about. Me and Piripi learnt about food time lapse. One thing I learnt about steak is if you leave steak out for 10 days it will go yellow black and brown.
